Carbon Cash-Back Celebration!

On Thursday, August 19, 2021, a celebration was held to recognize the many accomplishments and show appreciation for the C3 Town Champions across New Hampshire who made the Carbon Cash-Back project a success!

  • Citizens in 44 New Hampshire towns put the Carbon Cash-Back Resolution to Take Action on Climate Change article on their town's warrants to help inform voters and let them weigh in about the solution at Town Meetings

  • Voters in 33 New Hampshire Towns (75% of all the towns that voted) passed the Resolution to Take Action on Climate Change warrant article, some by 97% in favor

  • 3 Town and City Councils passed the Resolution to Take Action on Climate Pollution

  • 1 County's Commissioners passed the Resolution to Take Action on Climate Pollution

We heard from elected climate leaders and a local clean energy business leader, and presented a request to Governor Sununu to prepare our state for federal carbon pricing by increasing investments in energy efficiency and avoiding new fossil fuel infrastructure investments, and asked him to endorse federal legislation to implement cash-back carbon pricing.

The Carbon Cash-Back project is helping create the political will for effective and equitable climate solutions now.
